Operations & Process Governance Lead- Legal Operations — Victoria, Australia

The Opportunity This is an Associate Director level role. Reporting to the Global Head Legal Operations, you will oversee, design, and implement governance structures, procedures, and protocols that optimize the functioning of the wider Legal department. You will ensure that the department operates efficiently, transparently, and in compliance with organizational standards and external regulations. The Role You have a comprehensive understanding of legal principles, corporate governance, and legal operating procedures combined with acumen in coordinating legal operations. You will enhance the processes of our legal department, optimizing legal services delivery, and ensuring overall operational efficiency. As an Operations & Process Governance Lead you establish well-defined standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies to maintain organization and efficiency and ensure consistency and standardization. Responsibilities: Design policies and procedures specific to the legal department's operations and ensure these policies align with broader organizational guidelines and regulations Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and legal obligations and reduce any possible risk to CSL Align with global stakeholders on business needs and opportunities to develop a long-term vision and an relevant roadmap for legal policies and standard operating procedures Review and update guidelines to ensure their relevance and understanding of evolving business needs Identify potential operational risks within the legal department and develop strategies and procedures to mitigate or respond to these risks Research and implement best practices in legal operations to drive continuous improvement Develop efficient, user-friendly, and integrated processes Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of governance processes Foster a cross-functional approach to process governance Your skills and experience Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required, MBA or equivalent preferred PMP or similar certification preferred Project Management experience preferred Six Sigma or Agile development experience is a plus 7 years of experience managing legal policies and developing and implementing operating governance structures Business awareness and detailed understanding of company policies and procedures Experience with change management and the development of efficient process improvements with a high user satisfaction rating International travel up to 10% may be required Our Benefits CSL employees that work at least 30 hours per week are eligible for benefits effective day 1.
