Reporting to the Design Manager, this role will support the builder and their clients with all aspects of tile selections for their new home. Predominantly based at the selection studio of a major builder in Leederville, this role is key to achieving outstanding client experiences and important business outcomes. The role will include (but is not limited to): Developing superior knowledge and skills related to the selection of tiles for residential applications Preparing diligently in advance of client appointments Discussing and understanding clients’ preferences and vision to provide design recommendations that align with their goals and fit within nominated build parameters Guiding clients in selecting tiles that complement their chosen finishes, materials, and design elements to elevate and enhance their spaces Staying apprised of the latest trends and developments within the interior design industry and making recommendations to help clients stay current Collaborating with design team members and the broader selections team to ensure a cohesive and unified approach is delivered to clients Attending industry events, trade shows, and product launches to identify new products to recommend to clients FOR YOU The challenge for you is to bring your positivity and energy to the team, be motivated to succeed, and constantly develop your industry knowledge so that you are a true expert in your field. To be successful in this role you will also: Be experienced in selecting and recommending design elements and products, including materials, finishes, textiles, and other decorative items Have spent time in a customer-facing role Possess a strong understanding of current industry trends and developments Demonstrate strong research skills, with experience in identifying and evaluating design elements, materials, and finishes. Exhibit strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with others Show excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
