Disability Support Worker (Lifestyle). Casual - Central Coast — Gosford, Gosford Area

About the Role As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing active supports to people living with disabilities on the Central Coast. Our Lifestyle Program consisting of 2 Day Programs and supporting clients within the community, there are a variety of short and long shifts available within the lifestyle program on a casual basis. These supports cater to the individual interests and abilities of our clients and often include social outings, recreational and leisure activities. Our Day Program operates Monday to Friday whilst our Community program operates 7 days a week . Your enthusiasm and reliability will be key in this role. Key Responsibilities Support clients through personal care, manual handling, behaviour support with clients of high behaviours of concern and high medical needs Help clients reach their goals through meaningful activities of their choice Work under minimal supervision and make appropriate judgement calls ensuring client wellbeing is upheld Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families and your team Advocate for client choice and control in a way that is safe and compliant Complete administration tasks such as progress notes and as directed by management Willing to travel within the Central Coast region to support our participants Skills & Experience An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle Ability to drive 10 seater van used to commute clients to activities Committed to work flexible work hours across the week, including public holidays Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011 Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
