Electrical Design Engineer — The Hill, Newcastle Area

ASR Recruitment have partnered with a leading industrial electrical control consultancy, who are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Design Engineer to join their cohesive team. If you are passionate about delivering project excellence in the water, chemical, materials handling, and mining sectors, we want to hear from you About the Role: As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for: Designing Low Voltage Systems: Create low voltage distribution and motor control circuits. Power System Modelling: Perform LV power system modelling and cable selection. Control Systems Design: Develop control systems across various products and industries. Control Networks Design: Design control networks tailored to specific requirements. Instrument Loop Design: Develop instrument loops for selected products. Instrument Data Sheet Development: Create and procure instrument data sheets. Variable Speed Drive Selection: Configure and commission variable speed drives. Testing and Commissioning: Assist with factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, and commissioning of LV motors, DOL starters, and PLC systems. Client Collaboration: Work closely with new and existing clients to understand their requirements and develop tailored solutions. Project Management: Manage projects and ensure all deliverable requirements are met. About Our Client: Based in Newcastle our client specialises in electrical, instrumentation, and control system design services, including hazardous area and functional safety design. They excel in designing, programming, and commissioning industrial automation and control systems that meet customer requirements.
