This role involves engaging in various structural engineering activities across Concept, Preliminary, and Detailed Design phases. Key Responsibilities: Structural Analysis & Design: Conduct structural analysis and design, including hullform and outfit design. 3D Modelling & Analysis: Use 3D and FE software packages such as Inventor NASTRAN, ANSYS suite, and Hyperworks suite for modelling, studies, and analyses. Engineering Documentation: Produce detailed design drawings, illustrations, and diagrams using software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation. Technical Advice: Provide structural engineering design, construction, and through-life issue advice to external parties and other technical disciplines as required. Reports & Specifications: Contribute structural engineering input to reports and specifications. Client & Contractor Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients and other contractors as required. Project Management: Manage assigned tasks and activities. Capability Development: Contribute to the development of in-house structural design and analysis capabilities. Support Activities: Perform other duties as required to support design, consultancy, and marketing activities. Uphold company HSEQ standards at all times. About you: Professional Engineer with a minimum of tertiary qualifications in Structural Engineering. Must be working towards or have attained recognition as a Chartered Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in engineering design within a quality framework. Eligible to secure an NV1 Security Clearance.
