This Property division is busy with a wide range of work and requests from their clients. The Principal of the Property Group now needs an experienced Legal Secretary to support the team. Lots of variety working on some of the largest and most exciting ventures across Melbourne. i.e . retail and commercial leases, option agreements, easements, GST implications, sales and purchase of business, property subdivision and development. You will be working closely with the Principal, a Senior Lawyer and Conveyancers and Paralegals. Duties will include: Managing correspondence, filing, preparing and issuing invoices, preparing contracts, word processing, formatting documents, taking dictation, updating Open Practice, conducting searches, preparing for weekly team meeting, arranging PEXA trust forms etc. A full job description is available on request. This role would suit a self-starter who is ready to take on a role that is more than a typical secretarial position. You will already have 3-5 years recent relevant experience as a Legal Secretary – preferably within Property. If you are task focused and understand the ‘big picture’ of property matters, you can use your expertise and initiative here. Your time records can even contribute to fee generation.
