About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Estimator to join a dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs and resources required for residential building projects. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring projects are completed within budget and to the highest quality standards. What's on Offer for You? Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to determine project requirements. Develop and maintain accurate budgets, ensuring all costs are accounted for. Obtain and evaluate bids from suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating prices to stay within budget constraints. Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans. Monitor and report on actual costs versus estimates throughout the project lifecycle. Identify potential cost risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure all estimates comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies. What you will bring to the Role: Strong analytical and mathematical skills Excellent attention to detail Proficient in using estimating software and tools Strong communication and negotiation skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Collaborative team player To be successful - you will need to demonstrate: Proven experience as a Production Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry. Thorough understanding of residential construction processes and materials. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications. Strong knowledge of cost estimation techniques and best practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and estimating software. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges. Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field are desirable.
