About you: To be successful in securing this position, you will have: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline from a recognised institution, and/or equivalent relevant experience (preferably within the defence industry) Knowledge of 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, preferably with PTC Creo Parametric or Zuken E3 or similar Knowledge of concept and detail design of mechanical structures, and electro-mechanical assemblies, with experience developing and managing large CAD assemblies Strong attention to detail and good communication skills Eligibility to obtain Australian NV-1 security clearance and ability to access/handle Export Controlled technology, data and information What we offer you: When you join Lockheed Martin, you work on projects you won't experience anywhere else. Your responsibilities will include: As a Mechanical Designer, you will contribute towards the development of bespoke assemblies, equipment layouts, schematics and other models/drawings. You will primarily be responsible for: Working with the Engineering Manager(s) and Product Leaders to evolve the physical integration design Providing input into the evaluation of the maturity of product data provided by suppliers into the integrated data management system Participating in technical reviews of the Physical Integration Design products and deliverables Contributing to the transition of design data through to production design data (Stage 3) Contributing to the resolution of build problems Contributing to the development and delivery of the: Physical Interface Definition Documentation Layouts and sketches System Schematic Drawings Cable Schedules Engineering Drawings to support the program in accordance with the contracted CDRL format Vacancy Country Australia Vacancy Location SA, Adelaide
