About the role: As part of the growing and busy legal team you will work across the legal function, reporting to the General Counsel. You will work collaboratively with other lawyers in the team across a variety of work, including: reviewing, negotiating and drafting contacts including licences, deeds and other commercial agreements, funding arrangements, privacy, property law and intellectual property; advising on high value projects for the Institute often involving third parties; various business as usual legal work including insurance and employment law; proactively identifying risk and compliance requirements and work on process improvement within the business; liaising and engaging with government bodies and agencies across the requirements of the Institute; and managing and briefing external counsel in specialist legal areas where required. Skills/Experience: To be considered for this role you will have: 4-8 years' PAE from a commercial, corporate or IP practice with strong contracts experience and an unrestricted practicing certificate; demonstrated experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts; excellent attention to detail and organisation skills; and a commercial approach allowing you to manage a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
