Independent Public School - North Metropolitan Education Region Girrawheen Senior High School Teacher - Mathematics 00003211 Teacher, $78,397 - $113,568 per annum (SEA GA 2021) Advertised Vacancy Number: IPS/TCH897211 This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 3, 2024 Girrawheen Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to appoint a hardworking and motivated Mathematics Teacher to join their friendly team. The successful applicant will ideally have the capacity to deliver engaging programs that are relevant to our students' needs. It is important that the successful applicant be able to create a learning environment that is differentiated, challenging, caring, and caters for the range of needs so all students may achieve and progress. As a Quality Teaching Strategy Lead School, the successful candidate would be expected to be familiar with the Teaching for Impact framework and have an understanding of what effective teachers believe, know, and do to enable students to succeed. The successful applicant will ideally have the necessary knowledge, skills, and understanding to prepare students for NAPLAN and OLNA. Candidates who have a capacity to teach ATAR will be highly regarded. A strong focus and understanding of Information Communications Technology (ICT) is desirable. You will ideally support the implementation of the school business plan, work and teach in a team environment, and be committed to whole school approaches and initiatives. The successful applicant should be able to build and maintain a positive learning environment therefore effective classroom management is critical to this role. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy.
