Salary - $85k - $95k plus superannuation Hours: Monday to Friday - 5:00am - 1:00pm but must be flexible to meet business requirements The Role Supporting the Warehouse Manager, this role will see you supervise and oversee the warehouse team. Using your leadership and operational skills, you will be responsible for daily planning of staff and workload to ensure containers are moved within timeframes and ensuring safety practices are being followed at all times. Operations are 3PL, all tasks are recorded appropriately for billing purposes. Key Responsibilities will include: Lead the warehouse team, prioritise what is to be unpacked each day and plan the workload daily Ensure appropriate levels of staff to ensure service to customer Supervise all contractors onsite, conduct inductions when required Warehouse Maintenance - checks racking, damage reports and oversee cleaning Equipment Maintenance - Ensure equipment is maintained and serviced regularly as per schedule Maintain sufficient supplies of shrink wrap, strapping and gas bottles for forklifts etc Pest control - oversee the service agreement with pest controller Pallet control including stock counts and record control of all pallets Organise local and interstate deliveries to customers Quarantine directions and inspections - good understanding of regulations Working to KPI's Establish a continuous improvement culture focused on key customer service metrics such as DIFOT Responsible for the Health and Safety of warehouse employees About You To be considered for this role you will demonstrate: Extensive experience working in a freight forwarding environment A valid forklift ( LF) licence is essential Minimum 2 years of experience supervising teams of more than 6 employees Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office programs and good knowledge of Warehouse systems Strong understanding of WHS obligations Reliability, integrity and customer service focused Demonstrated ability in implementing continuous improvement initiatives Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Can work on tight timeframes to ensure customer requirements are met High attention to detail, resourceful, and able to multi-task Must have full time working rights If you like the sound of this role and you meet the above requirements, please use the Apply Now button Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
