We are seeking an experienced Childrenswear Designer for our client who are globally known for their femininity, romantic and sophisticated designs. We are seeking a creative and talented Children's Wear Designer to join the design team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for children's fashion and a keen eye for detail. They will be responsible for conceptualising and designing a range of clothing and accessories for children, from infants to pre-teens. The successful candidate will be an innovative, thoughtful, and technically gifted Senior Designer to work closely with the Creative Director in bringing beautiful ranges to life, expanding the frontiers of the global fashion market while honouring the iconic brand DNA. What you'll be doing: Collaborate with the design team to develop seasonal collections that align with brand aesthetics and market trends. Research current trends in children's fashion, fabrications, and color palettes. Create sketches, tech packs, and mood boards to communicate design concepts. Develop original prints, graphics, and embellishments for use in children's clothing. Select appropriate fabrics and trims that meet quality and cost requirements. Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure accurate execution of designs. Participate in fit sessions and provide feedback to ensure proper fit and comfort of garments. Maintain organized records of design concepts, materials, and samples. Ideally you'll have: Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field. Up to 5 years proven experience as a children's wear designer. Highly proficient in hand sketching, illustrator and photoshop. Fabric, materials and construction knowledge. Ability to create accurate technical specification drawings High level of aesthetic taste displayed in relation to colour, composition, materials, coordination and execution. Knowledge of garment construction, textiles, and manufacturing processes. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
