Contribute to a profitable kitchen, 100% compliance with roster, commitment to strict portion control and minimal wastage. Compliance with work practices and standards. Work closely with the Head Chef, Management and the kitchen team. Communicate effectively with fellow staff in the kitchen and front of house. Obey instructions from employer and work cooperatively. Main Duties: Preparing, cooking and presenting a range of dishes. Oversee orders during service. Maintaining stock control and ordering supplies. Writing and costing of menu and create daily specials. Delegate tasks to other kitchen staff. Practicing proper workplace health and safety procedures. Ensure work area is of the highest cleanliness standards. Provide fast and efficient service. Ensure all meals are prepared and presented in a professional manner, maintaining high standards of food, hygiene, and health and safety practices. Assisting in clearing the kitchen. Other incidental and peripheral duties as requested by the employer. Qualification & Experience Essential Skills: Ability to work effectively, efficiently and safely in an unsupervised environment. Ability to follow direction by senior members of the team. Commitment to following company food safety procedures. Ability to work effectively as a team and contribute towards a harmonious environment for all staff and customers. Good communication skills.
