Call Centre Medical Receptionist required for our busy Townsville General Practice Call Centre Medical Receptionist - Townsville Townsville GP Superclinic is currently seeking a reliable, confident, well spoken, computer literate team member, with a positive ‘can do’ attitude, who can engage with our customers. Taking daily phone calls and answering queries on a busy call desk, located onsite. Messages and calls will need to be managed well, with the candidate having a skillset to succinctly summarise and manage discussions, to achieve an efficient outcome. Full training and start up assistance will be provided. You will learn what calls can be expected, how to take appointments and direct enquiries/take messages appropriately, including assessing triage requirements. It will be beneficial for the candidate to have previous skills in customer service, call centre or medical reception, however not essential. The successful candidate will need to be a professional representative, building rapport when taking calls from new and existing patients, communicate effectively, in promotion of the service. Ideally a quick learner, who can memorise scripts and adapt them when issues may arise during conversations and know how to direct calls as necessary. Please note there is no selling of services required in this position. Full time hours - Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm. Salary range is from $47,000 to $52,000, dependent on qualifications / experience. Attributes - • Manage a large volume of inbound calls for our busy Clinic • Work autonomously and also as part of the Team, in support of Staff and GPs • Manage / maintain good customer relationships • Provide quality customer service to new and existing patients • Use articulate phone manner, maintain professionalism at all times • Show empathy, remain calm, with an understanding approach • Medical terminology advantageous • Listen to customers’ needs or issues and provide helpful solutions • Good verbal communication and phone listening and people skills • Customer focused • Multi-tasker Daily duties – • First point of contact for incoming enquiries • Appointment scheduling, alterations and cancellations • Obtain client information, and verify (confidentiality required) • Use of booking system •Take calls from customers, answer questions, address any concerns they may have, redirect enquiries as necessary • Handle numerous inbound calls from customers • Reporting to Practice Management / Team Leaders • Data entry • Scheduling • Participate in educational opportunities Must have full work rights in Australia to suit long term position. Temporary holiday visa work not available for this role. Drivers licence for automatic car required.
