Job no: 0062542 Location: Parkville Role type: Full-time; Continuing Department: Client Services Build, run and support Citrix platforms for University staff and students Create secure and scalable virtual desktop infrastructure solutions that transform teaching and learning outcomes Brilliant benefits and a flexible hybrid work environment About the Role Join us as a Citrix Engineer, where you’ll implement, manage and support Citrix platforms to meet our strategic, innovation, operational and teaching and learning needs. Ensure reliability, security, scalability, and manageability of Citrix solutions in alignment with University requirements. Your responsibilities will include: Citrix platform development aligned with University needs and future requirements Assess infrastructure options, balance on-premises and cloud capabilities as required to meet business objectives Lead continuous improvement initiatives for Citrix platforms, ensuring efficiency, security, scalability and capacity management Support BYOD initiatives in student workspaces, manage lab software provisioning Uplift Citrix platform functionality within the Secure Research Environment Who we are looking for You will have an agile mindset for workload prioritisation, strong stakeholder management skills, and strategic planning abilities to innovate. Additionally, you should excel in driving customer outcomes and have experience in vendor management for effective service delivery. You will also have: Extensive experience administering, implementing, and supporting Citrix Technologies: Citrix Desktops-as-a-Service (DaaS): Securely deliver virtual apps and desktops to any device through Citrix-hosted management services Design and implementation of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop through Citrix Cloud utilising PVS and MCS technologies. Management of Citrix infrastructure and technologies including Citrix Cloud. Experience with securing or hardening Citrix environments. Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Azure Virtual Desktops or Amazon EC2, VMware vSphere, networking ITIL Service Lifecycle: High level of competency across service operations, service design and transition with a focus on change, incident, and problem management For further information regarding responsibilities and requirements please refer to the attached PD.
