Trainee Inspection Engineer — Heathridge, Joondalup Area

Geo Oceans have an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Trainee Inspection Engineer ABOUT THE BUSINESS Geo Oceans is an industry-leading asset deployed mini-ROV technology and services company. This requires the building of skilled specialist teams and continued investment in technology to improve the reliability, capabilities, and efficiency of the small subsea robotic technology. RESPONSIBITLIES AND DUTIES Undertake tertiary education classes in Technical Engineering (Cert III). Assist in the preparation of technical documentation. Assist in the review and comment on technical documentation. Gain an understanding of subsea infrastructure and operational terminology. Gain an understanding of ROV’s and associated tooling. Gain an understanding and qualifications in Non-Destructive Testing techniques. Ability to undertake additional industry training as required by the company. Must be physically fit. REQUIRED SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES Be able to work on own initiative and or as part of a team. Keen eye for detail. Working knowledge of Microsoft packages. Good communication skills. Good time management skills. Willingness to engage in offshore working. ESSENTIAL CRITERIA Full working rights Good command of the English language. Willingness to learn Non-Destructive Testing and Visual Inspection techniques. Must be able to attend both TAFE and Geo Oceans office.
