About the role: The Senior Administrative Officer, DRS, is responsible for providing high quality centralised administrative support to the Deakin Residential Services (DRS) leadership team and a range of stakeholders across DRS. Provide executive administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and DRS governing board to deliver on the strategic priorities of the integrated on and off campus accommodation provision. Ensure effective management of information relating to the role and contribute to effective communication across Deakin Residential Services. In addition, this position supports projects, events and process improvement opportunities as determined by the CEO. Reporting to the CEO, Deakin Residential Services this role will play a crucial role in managing information related to the role, contributing to effective communication within DRS, and supporting projects, events, and process improvement initiatives as directed by the CEO. Overall, the Senior Administrative Officer, DRS plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth administrative operations within DRS and facilitating the achievement of strategic goals related to accommodation services. As a Senior Administrative Officer, you will: Act as a coach and work with team members to facilitate growth and development by giving balanced, constructive feedback considering individual capability and team performance. Implement strategies to promote positive emotional wellbeing across the team and regularly reflect on own behaviour Bring a strong customer mindset. Strive for excellence and consult regularly with staff/students/stakeholders to clarify who requires the information, the purpose for which it is required, criteria for success and where and when advice and recommendation is required. Seek to continuously improve and apply critical learnings from projects and initiatives across the University To be successful, you’ll have: A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or Demonstrated experience in working effectively in a high paced environment dealing with complex and sensitive information. Demonstrated capability in SharePoint, Powerpoint and Microsoft Teams, including the ability to develop impactful presentations and resources on behalf of the CEO. Experience in administration and related activities in a large organisation with complex administrative structures, policies and procedures.
