About the role Reporting to the VIC Sales Manager, the Technical Sales Representative is responsible for face-to-face sales calls with existing and potential new customers, building relationships, and offering well-considered solutions for their business needs. Connecting with and visiting the large customer, distribution, and reseller base Strategically seeking product upgrades and sales opportunities Establishing new business relationships Consulting on a wide range of solutions that meet the client's requirements The role includes occasional travel to regional areas and overnight stays You're all about Being a solutions focussed salesperson, who is mechanically minded and enjoys building long-term relationships. This isn't a high-volume new business style role, this role is about building relationships with the customer base and becoming a trusted advisor. You come from an industrial/mechanical background - the bearing and bolt industries would be highly regarded You have a proven track record in a similar account/relationship management role You could be a Fitter with the gift of the gab and want to try your hand at something new Ideally, you are competent in the use of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook, and other related computer programs including experience in the use of a CRM.
