T They are seeking a highly motivated Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer with 10 years’ engineering experience to join a friendly and supportive team in Perth. As a Consultant Engineer you will be great at building relationships, a good communicator and will deliver a high standard of customer service to your internal and external clients. You must have proven experience in major vendor technologies; specifying, designing, testing and commissioning control equipment, networks, instrumentation and other programmable industrial devices across a variety of industries. You will have a demonstrated understanding of applicable standards, codes, best practices and how to apply these. You’ll be a logical and critical thinker with great attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills and technical calculation abilities. To be successful in this position you will have completed a Bachelor or Masters in Electrical Engineering or similar and be working towards your Chartered status, if not already achieved. You must have a legal entitlement to work in Australia and be able to obtain necessary security clearances if required. Key Duties Control system design and specification (including industrial networks, automation equipment, instrumentation and control devices) with an awareness of ISA95 compliant architectures. Writing functional description documents. Assisting with and reviewing multidisciplinary deliverables. Selection / specification of instrumentation in accordance with equipment datasheets. Design / modify panel layout, schematic wiring and termination diagrams for industrial control systems. Developing EI&C schedules (cable, instrument, I/O, etc.). Developing changeover plans for brownfield control system upgrades. Control system FAT, SAT & Commissioning. Working collaboratively with a multidiscipline team. Proposal preparation and cost estimates.
