Job Description Job Title: Technical Sales Manager - SSPG Product Specialist Team Reports to: Commercial Leader - SSPG, ANZ Located in an Australian Capital City, Managing Australia and New Zealand region Strategic Suppliers Partnership Group (SSPG) Discover Impactful Work: As a Sales Manager for SSPG, you will lead a team of sales representatives, (Product Specialists) who sell and support third party products and services across ANZ. You will be accountable for ensuring the team has effective customer relations, develops opportunities for growth within an existing and new customer base, and assures market penetration and profitability while achieving sales and profit forecasts. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who enjoys completing account planning and forecasting, analyzing reports on business, and handling performance of the team Keys to Success: - Manage the sales team to drive sales strategies to meet plan and expand business; Ensure team builds and maintains a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed sales objectives; Run pricing within territory to control profitability - Focus the team on delighting customers and delivering on the wider Thermo Fisher value proposition. Establish relationships with key customers across the region with regular sales calls and a strategic partnership approach. - Research competitor and industry activity and keep informed of new products/services and other general information of interest to customers incorporating this data in the business plan. - Show initiative to develop programs to drive growth in any economic condition - Maintain accurate reporting, forecasts, records, and files necessary for proper management of region - Mentor and develop the team, build career plans and plans for succession. - Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations Education - A Bachelor's degree in Science Experience - 4 years of relevant, industry-specific experience - Strong sales management experience and proven leadership abilities Knowledge, Skills, Abilities - Excellent business skills - Advanced selling and presentation skills - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Able and willing to travel to customer locations - Demonstrates the Thermo Fisher values (The Four I's) - Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement Physical Requirements / Work Environment - Adhere to OHS policies and procedures and ensure a safe and healthy workplace environment Benefits We offer competitive remuneration, annual incentive plan bonus, healthcare, and a range of employee benefits.
