Position Purpose Pastoral Teachers are the main point of contact for students. They are responsible for nurturing the children in their care and establishing relationships with them while inspiring them to learn within the core subject areas of English, Mathematics, HASS and Faith Studies. The role of Pastoral Teacher will suit applicants who are future thinking and experienced in aligning pedagogy with innovative spaces. The ability to teach across multiple subject areas would be highly advantageous. Essential Criteria A personal commitment to King&39;s Vision, Mission and Values that underpin the delivery of a Christian-based education to students in the School Community is essential. This role also requires: An in-depth understanding of the curriculum content and achievement standards for a variety of learning areas across Middle School. Proven ability to engage students effectively, guiding them in developing conceptual and perceptual ideas through design and inquiry processes. A commitment to nurturing critical and creative thinking, utilising visual arts languages, theories, and practices to encourage aesthetic judgment. Application of innovative teaching methodologies to support diverse learning needs. Collaborative spirit to develop differentiated programs alongside fellow educators. Dedication to providing learning opportunities that allow every student to thrive and excel. Strong communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues in a timely and effective manner.
