Senior Administration Officer $51 p/h super on-site in Heidelberg with parking available 3-month assignment, commencing ASAP About the company Our client is an institute that undertakes world-class, applied ecological research which supports and guides sustainable ecological policy and management to ensure healthy, resilient ecosystems. About the role You will be responsible for supporting staff with respect to vehicles, field equipment and processes and some aspects of safety administration. You will be expected to build and maintain strong working relationships with staff and stakeholders. Responsibilities: Support the delivery of safety and wellbeing initiatives by contributing to stakeholder consultation. Identify and implement strategies to mitigate or respond to safety related risks and incidents. Communications activities and events including through planning and providing logistical support. Coordinate and monitor the purchase, maintenance and responsible use of all field related equipment including PPE. Deliver and record staff and contractor induction, Working from Heights permits and Confined Space permits. Ensure high quality record keeping and auditing for field related documentation, including checklists, Field Trip Notifications, Site Safety Surveys and field procedures, instructions, and guidelines. Skills and Experience Good working knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Safety Regulations and DEECA Safety and Wellbeing policies, procedures, and processes is highly desirable. High level of interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to apply these with internal and external stakeholders. Plans and prioritises work to ensure outcomes are achieved.
