Davies Stewart is seeking a contracts administrator looking to take that next step in their career, with a fantastic opportunity to take your career up north. Exceptional communication and sound stakeholder management skills are essential as the successful incumbent will be required to liaise with the client, subcontractors and business leaders, and in the absence of the Project Manager be responsible for all aspects of the project. Duties: Review Contract terms, conditions, targets and accountabilities for each project in conjunction with the Project Manager and Civil Commercial Management Team. Be aware of the head contract and its provisions and ensure compliance Incorporate head contract conditions into the subcontract agreements Include standard and special conditions relevant to specific trades and the scope of work Ensure documents comply to clearly identify the scope of works offered for tender Prepare an agreed format with clients concerning progress claims Evaluate, document, submit and negotiate notices of all delays Ensure that the Site Manager/Site Supervisor is knowledgeable of the subcontractor's scope of works and contracts Respond to inquiries from subcontractors to ensure a full understanding of the scope of works Evaluate tender submissions to ensure coverage of scope of works, subcontractors' capability, and expertise in the delivery of scale and quantities involved Review and approve subcontract documentation prior to issuing Process subcontractor payments and ensuring subcontractor statutory requirements are being met Skills & Experience: Management of subcontractors (claims, subcontract, variations, notices) Experience in issuing Extension of time, delay notices, variations, latent conditions, general contract notices Previous experience in major construction/infrastructure project delivery is essential Any experience with project finance (budgets/forecasting/tracking (Desirable) Reviewing contracts, preparing departures, drafting and negotiating subcontract agreements. Previous DIT experience is highly advantageous Competent technical, planning, and financial management knowledge Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills Sound computer literacy skills in relevant fields including Company accounting software, MS Project, MS Office and Outlook Excellent time management including prioritisation and delegation of operational tasks Demonstrate ability to identify, manage and resolve issues as they arise during the course of a project Experience in cost control, forecasting, and monthly reporting This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly experienced contracts professional to demonstrate their vast knowledge within the civil construction/civil infrastructure/building landscape.
