About the organisation At the heart of modern security operations lies your role to safeguard vital information and assets of this large enterprise organisation. As part of the security services team, you will be entrusted with the critical task of ensuring the integrity and reliability of the network infrastructure. About the role: As a Firewall Administrator, you'll be at the forefront of our security implementation team, orchestrating day-to-day operations to fortify digital ramparts. Your role will encompass configuring, administering, and troubleshooting firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems. Collaboration will be key as you liaise with partner agencies to address security challenges and ensure seamless inter-agency communication. Within the role you'll: Configure and maintain Checkpoint, Juniper, and Citrix NetScaler products. Implement robust security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. Oversee upgrades and migrations to safeguard NSWPF information and assets. Enable secure remote access through VPN architectures. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues. Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices. To excel in this role, you'll ideally possess: Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, CCA, and Juniper Networks certifications. Proficiency in networking protocols and monitoring tools. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Commitment to network security best practices. Ability to articulate project goals and expectations clearly to stakeholders and vendors. A level head and ability to stay calm and decisive in challenging environments. Demonstrated personal motivation to achieve project outcomes. Polished analysis skills to identify issues objectively and identify effective solutions. Why Join?
