Undertake Track & Civil design activities as directed, generally for minor works, and to undertake reviews/checks of designs produced by others to ensure Metro's principles and standards are met. This role is offered on a full-time permanent basis operating out of MTMs Docklands head-office. Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of design activities relating to the development of Track & Civil design, including drawings, design reports, engineering calculations, and other outputs as necessary to provide assurance that the design meets MTM requirements. Check and approve Track & Civil designs as an MTM approved SOC. Apply infrastructure, engineering standards and system specifications to prepare designs. Identify and assist in resolving non-conformances with the design standards or the operational requirements and provide the Track & Civil Design Review Manager a recommendation on granting of waivers. Provide technical advice on projects to other officers/divisions and external parties as directed Adherence to all legislative and regulatory requirements including conducting and participating in Safety in Design, risk assessments, and peer reviews as required. Assist with the preparation of MTM Management of Change and Engineering Change Processes. Qualification & Skills Tertiary qualification in Engineering suitable for membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia or an appropriate technical qualification with proven industry capability acceptable to MTM Experience Criteria Previous experience providing design of technical engineering services in railway infrastructure (Track & Civil) is required. Relevant experience designing other civil infrastructure will be beneficial. Experience using design software and drafting including Bentley Microstation is required. Why work for MTM?
