We provide an innovative carbon accounting and reporting solution to public and private organisations across Australia and New Zealand. Our software solution ingests Accounts Payable invoices and other organisational data and converts it to Greenhouse Gas emissions using Machine Learning and an expansive 'emissions factor library'. The solution provides a detailed analysis of carbon intensity for an organisation (Scope 1, 2, 3), shows the impact of any 'project' (e.g. solar panel installation etc.) on the emission intensity, consumption and cost profile, helping clients see the payback from such projects and track benefits realisation. The solution also has strong reporting capabilities relating to compliance obligations (NGER, Climate Active etc.). We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced ESG Sales Specialist to join our team and make the most of this opportunity. Although the company’s office is based in Lot Fourteen in Adelaide, we are open to considering candidates from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to help us scale up faster interstate. Job Summary: As an ESG Sales Specialist, you will play a crucial role in driving new business growth and expanding our customer base across all sectors, private and public, with a bias towards medium and larger organisations. The role will benefit from a limited number of company-generated leads and it will require market analysis, prospecting, and lead generation of your own. You will be responsible for identifying and prospecting potential clients, building strong relationships internally and externally, and closing sales deals. This is a high-impact role with significant room for personal and professional growth. This role reports directly to the CEO. The position requires a strong track record of achieving sales targets and a demonstrated ability to work cohesively in a team. This will involve excellent communication skills, a good understanding of the SaaS industry, and the willingness to acquire ESG specific knowledge. Key Responsibilities: 1. Business Development: Actively seek out and generate new business opportunities by identifying potential clients within the corporate and government sectors in Australia and New Zealand. An established network of corporate business partners is highly desirable. 2. Sales Strategy: Work with the existing Sales Team members to augment and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth. 3. Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor and expert in the ESG industry. 4. Sales Presentations: Create and deliver compelling and persuasive presentations to showcase our SaaS solutions, addressing client needs and demonstrating value propositions effectively. 5. Pipeline Management: Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to deal closure, including qualifying prospects, conducting product demonstrations, negotiating contracts, and closing sales deals. 6. Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and market developments, providing valuable insights to heads of departments to aid strategic decision-making and product roadmap direction. 7. Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to provide feedback and align sales efforts with marketing campaigns, ensuring consistent messaging and effective lead generation. 8. Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, providing regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and forecasting to the management team. Prior experience with HubSpot is advantageous. Requirements: • Proven track record of success in B2B sales, particularly within the SaaS industry. ESG software sales experience is highly desirable. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in a new business-focused role • Strong understanding of corporate sales processes • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels • Self-motivated and driven to achieve sales targets • Highly organised with strong time management and prioritisation skills • Willingness to travel domestically and an open mind regarding international travel in the future. • Proven track record of working collaboratively across departments. • We are open to remote work providing you have an existing network in Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne.
