About the role Eastern Health has an excellent opportunity for a Biomedical Engineer to join the Biomedical Services team helping to maintain comprehensive service delivery to Eastern Health hospitals within a supportive team environment. Successful applicants will be assisting in the delivery of a comprehensive biomedical engineering service by performing troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance. This position offers a fabulous opportunity at a Grade 1 level. About you To be successful in this role you should possess: Formal qualifications in Biomedical Engineering or equivalent Eligible for membership to Engineers Australia or ACPSEM Knowledge of the relevant Australian Standards & their application to medical equipment An ability to communicate with clinical staff Self-motivation Intermediate computer hardware and software skills Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task Good theoretical and practical knowledge of engineering, a sound understanding of medical sciences with the ability to combine the two A strong commitment to high quality care The ability to work as part of a diverse team Excellent communication and organisational skills Please refer to the attached position description for further details of the role.
