The Role We are looking for 1 Experience Chef/Cook to join our Catering team who are passionate about a person-centered approach to care, to join our wonderful facility in Mirani QLD. What you will do: The Cook/Chef is responsible for ensuring: Manage all aspects of the Kitchen section, including training, leading and inspiring the Kitchen team to ensure a highly-skilled, well-organised and motivated team. Ensure food safety standards, preparation, presentation and cooking techniques are established, monitored and maintained to meet current Food Concept guidelines Delivery of food is executed in a timely manner Undertake ordering of stock for all kitchen areas needs, ensuring orders across sections are condensed to reduce excessive stock, and par stock levels are maintained. What you will bring Trade certification or qualifications and experience gained in a similar role, preferably within an Aged Care setting Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Currently hold and maintain a Police Certificate (or willing to obtain) Must hold full rights to work within Australia An understanding of resident rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes highly regarded but not essential Employment Details: Contract Type: Permanent Part Time Contract Hours: Minimum (at least) 20 hours per fortnight for Part Time.
