With $2 billion worth of projects in the pipeline until 2027 in Melbourne alone, including a groundbreaking $450 million data centre, they are seeking a skilled Project Design Manager to drive their design initiatives to new heights. Role Overview: As the Project Design Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end design process, ensuring seamless execution from inception to completion. You will collaborate with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) and external consultants to translate our vision into construction-ready documentation. Additionally, you will support key permitting processes and liaise with internal delivery teams to ensure project milestones are met. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage internal design processes, overseeing projects from concept to completion with support from internal SMEs. Engage and manage a team of consultants and General Contractors to transform design concepts into construction documentation. Support Development Application (DA), Building Permitting, and Town Planning processes. Coordinate with Internal Delivery Teams to ensure timely project milestones. Assist with Long-Lead Equipment & General Contractor Supplier procurement. Ensure end-customer technical requirements are integrated into our designs. Provide support for end-customer design-related inquiries. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field. Proven experience in project design management, preferably within the data centre or construction industry. Strong knowledge of building services and construction processes. Experience liaising with contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
