The Glennie School is an Anglican school for girls in Toowoomba, providing an exceptional education for students from Kindergarten to Year 12 with Boarding from Year 5. About the role: The School is currently seeking a Kindergarten Teacher to deliver our Kindergarten and Pre-Prep programs. The successful candidate will: lead the delivery and implementation of the educational programs and care of Pre-Prep students support students' academic, social and emotional development through positive interaction in a variety of settings maintain positive relationships with students, families, and management to deliver excellent outcomes participate in all care and education duties as required with the children maintain and present an engaging, supportive, safe and presentable learning environment. This is a fixed-term, full-time position. Commencing Term 3 2024 for the duration of the term (10 weeks). About You: Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent or Diploma of Children’s Services or equivalent, (recognised by ACECQA as an early childhood teaching qualification). Queensland College of Teachers registration. First Aid, CPR, and Asthma and Anaphylaxis current early childhood certifications. Ability to deliver education content with a commitment to teaching excellence. Have a deep understanding of, and the ability to implement both the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines and The Early Years Learning Framework within a play-based setting. Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework. The ability to contribute to and maintain student learning records. Supportive of innovative classroom practice, inspiring all students. Strong interpersonal skills, enabling harmonious and positive relationships. Strong communication, organisation, and time management skills. An ability to work both independently and as part of a team. An ability to work towards the organisation's goals and strategic vision. Familiarity with legal obligations relating to child safety including mandatory reporting requirements. The Glennie School teachers care about their students and are leaders in learning.
