The global Resources Sector is evolving and growing at speed. Driven by energy transition focus, decarbonisation targets and population growth, the Resources sector continues to accelerate capital investments in discovering and developing new assets, whilst optimising existing operations. From assessments through to closure, Jacobs is well placed to support them on that journey. A predominantly site-based role, as the Construction Supervisor, you will focus on overseeing multi-disciplinary construction contractors' activities during the execution phase of projects for our resource clients. The role will work alongside Project Managers and Discipline Engineers to ensure projects are delivered on time, and to the client's standards for quality and safety. Some key elements of the role will include (but not limited to): • Working closely with selected construction contractors to complete projects on time and in full compliance with the design and industry standards. • Strong multi-disciplinary experience especially civil/structural and mechanical disciplines. • Strong mining experience across non-process and process infrastructure. • QA/QC (Quality Assurance and Quality Control) - Managing and approving installations at pre-approved witness and hold points. • Work closely with Project Managers and Discipline Engineers to ensure construction contractors comply with design requirements. • Manage technical issues and queries by directing to the relevant discipline engineer. • Interfacing positively and successfully with our Jacobs virtual teaming groups will be an important part of this role. • Attend key client meetings where possible to gain an understanding of the relationships that we aspire to develop and maintain to become a trusted advisor across the sector. • Meet and balance scope of deliverables with time allocation. • Mentor and facilitate the technical development of more junior resources to meet market requirements. LI-AP1 Here's what you'll need: • Experience and demonstrated track record of successfully managing construction projects for the Resources Sector. • Knowledge of international and local engineering and construction methods, applicable codes and specifications associated with resources projects. • Experience with various aspects of the planning, design and commissioning processes, construction methods and interface requirements of multi-disciplinary projects. • Knowledge of engineering design, construction, commissioning and close out resources projects, with sound knowledge of current construction and QA/QC standards. • Sound communication skills. • Ability to work away on FIFO rosters. • Previous accreditation as Section 26 supervisor preferable but not essential Jacobs.
