Job Title: Casual Educator Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Casual Educator to join our team in Port Melbourne. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education and training, with the ability to engage and inspire children of ages 3 months old to 5 years old. As a Casual Educator, you will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of educational programs, providing support to children, and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment. About Bubup Bubup is a community run, not-for-profit organisation providing integrated early learning and care services to the community. We provide the Community Outreach in our Reception including; Bubup Pantry, Swap Shop, Weekly Food bags and yearly Christmas hampers for vulnerable families, Parent Zone and Community Support Zone Bubup has received 'Exceeding' rating from latest assessment in March 2024. We have a wonderful location, positioned across numerous parks surrounding us. We utilize these invaluable assets throughout our Excursions and Bubup Bush program and embedded throughout our philosophy. What is special about Bubup team? Our team come from different backgrounds, cultures, and nationalities including Indigenous team member which creates a wide range of knowledge and skills, and we work harmoniously. We also have a gender-diverse workforce with around 9 male educators working across the service. We value where are teams come from and their unique world views and use this to make our programs contextual and special for the children and families at Bubup. We have a large team of early childhood professionals and acknowledge that everyone is at a different place in their professional journey. One of our philosophies is that we respect and value all educators and acknowledge their strengths, diversity, knowledge and skills. Many of our staff hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s and choose to work in a co-educator role to help them gain knowledge and experience before they move forward into a room leader role. In addition to our room leaders, we also have 4 experienced Educational Leaders and our Director of Education who support and mentor each team member through their professional journey as they gain confidence in their skills and understanding as an early childhood professional.
