They are committed to sustainable growth and innovation in the retail sector. Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Development Manager to join the team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the strategic planning, development, and execution of retail projects. This role requires a strong front-end experience in retail development, including site acquisition, feasibility analysis, design, and tenant engagement running from a scheme through to Delivery. Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Lead the development of new retail projects from inception to completion. Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure timely and on-budget delivery of projects. Oversee project timelines, budgets, and quality control. Site Acquisition and Feasibility: Identify and evaluate potential retail development sites. Conduct detailed feasibility studies, including market analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessment. Negotiate site acquisition deals and manage due diligence processes. Design and Planning: Collaborate with architects, planners, and other consultants to develop innovative and functional retail designs. Ensure designs align with company standards, regulatory requirements, and market trends. Facilitate the approval process with relevant authorities. Tenant Engagement and Leasing: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential tenants. Collaborate with the leasing team to secure anchor and specialty tenants. Ensure tenant requirements are integrated into the design and development process. Stakeholder Management: Engage with key stakeholders, including investors, local communities, and government bodies. Prepare and deliver presentations and reports to stakeholders, highlighting project progress and key milestones. Sustainability and Innovation: Champion sustainability initiatives within retail development projects. Stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate innovative solutions into development plans. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Property Development, Architecture, or related field. Minimum of 7 years’ experience in retail property development. Proven track record in front-end retail development, including site acquisition, feasibility, and design through to delivery. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. In-depth knowledge of the retail market and trends in Australia. Proficiency in financial modeling and feasibility analysis. Familiarity with planning and regulatory approval processes.
