News Corp Australia is seeking an agile Digital Designer to bring stories to life, enhance our digital storytelling and drive innovative digital solutions across our newsrooms. About the role: This role can be located in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne or the Brisbane office. Uphold the visual tone and identity for our brand, ensuring consistency while tailoring designs for specific programs and initiatives. Collaborate with our editorial teams to develop engaging digital features, utilising visual storytelling techniques such as motion graphic videos, interactive design, 3D modelling, animation and more. Support and produce work for the daily creative output for our websites, apps and mobile pages by creating static and interactive infographics, charts, tables and graphs. Appreciation of UX, interaction, animation and motion design, and how this can be applied to enhance visual storytelling. Ability to operate quickly and calmly within a large, complex, dynamic environment, while setting and maintaining key priorities. Excellent verbal / written skills, with the ability to present ideas and articulate design decisions effectively. A self-starter who likes to remain up-to-date with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies. Comprehensive understanding of design standards and best practices, as well as interaction and visual design disciplines. Who are you? You have 3 or more years of experience in a mid to senior level digital design role. Your background in graphic design, coupled with strong Adobe CC skills (primarily Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects), equips you to excel in this role. You have advanced skills in the production of video, motion graphics and animation. Experience with 3D animation will be highly regarded. You are adept in the creation of infographics, and have familiarity with platforms such as Infogram. You excel in a fast-paced work environment, juggling multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines. You're passionate about storytelling and leveraging creative solutions to engage audiences across digital and social media platforms. Previous experience in the news industry will be highly regarded.
