Conduct regular inspections of the equipment. Diagnose mechanical problems and implement solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety through design modifications or process enhancements. Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Collaborate with procurement teams to source spare parts and equipment as needed, ensuring timely repairs and replacements. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and equipment performance. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering to recommend and implement innovative solutions. Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and reduce downtime. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance or repair tasks as required. Qualification & Experience A degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar. Previous work experience as a Mechanical Engineer in maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical equipment. Knowledge of safety standards and manufacturer specifications for machinery installation and maintenance. Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills. Excellent record-keeping and documentation abilities. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Experience in providing training and guidance to maintenance technicians and operators.
