We now have an exciting opportunity for a driven and experienced Warehouse Supervisor at our main distribution hub in Clayton , working Monday to Friday, to oversee our afternoon shift crew (12pm – 8:30pm). ABOUT THE ROLE Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, you will utilise your extensive experience working with warehousing KPI’s and be an expert in implementation of effective warehouse management procedures. Daily responsibilities will include the following: Managing the day-to-day warehousing operations from receipting, dispatching, invoice and timesheet approvals, ordering to the safe storage of parts Leading a successful team of high performers, mentoring and coaching against KPI’s Staff training and induction Maintaining a safe work environment with a focus on continuous improvement Work closely with team members to support and deliver healthy utilisation rates Maintenance of all Warehouse plant and equipment Ensuring operational policies and procedures are followed to maximise productivity Management of the established Contamination Control and safety, health & environment culture ABOUT YOU You will come from a strong warehousing background with a experience and passion for training, motivating and encouraging a team. To be considered for this role you will have the following skills, experience and attributes: Extensive experience in warehouse management procedures and best practice Proven ability to lead a diverse group, from Pickers to Customers Mechanical knowledge / comprehension of Cat parts is highly regarded Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives A thorough understanding of “Chain of Responsibility” Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle simultaneous tasks High level of accuracy and attention to detail A qualification in Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain or Business would be highly regarded A current forklift licence or willingness to obtain one Why work for us?
