What's great about a Dental Assisting Traineeship: Training to assist dentists and hygienists (chair-side). Working Monday to Friday, your training would in on-site by a registered TasTAFE trainer. Be employed by Work & Training – the largest employer of Apprentices and Trainees in Tasmania, and hosted for the duration of your traineeship. On completion of your traineeship you would receive a nationally recognised Certificate III in Dental Assisting – HLT35021 . What would this involve? Gain an understanding of the instruments & dental equipment used. Train in sterilisation techniques for equipment. Learn all about infection control. Oral pathology and physiology is covered. There will be the opportunity to assist with oral surgery. Obtain a good understanding of the administrative aspect of Dental Assisting.
