The Social Worker is an integral part of our care leadership team which operates within an inter-disciplinary framework providing support to our consumers and their families. Reporting to the Social Work Manager these roles offer the perfect work life balance for a dedicated Social Worker who is passionate about embracing the aged community and working as part of an innovative and driven inter-disciplinary team. We are looking for self-motivated, energetic and skilled Social Workers who value interesting and varied work, and who can contribute to the high standard of holistic care we strive to provide for all of our consumers. The Social Worker will work closely with the Executive Care Manager and will be involved in a range of tasks including clinical social work support, family conferencing, inter-disciplinary team meetings, best practice implementation and special projects. Montefiore provides opportunities for regular professional supervision, team support and professional development. Essential: Degree in Social Work Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Social Worker Knowledge of aged care and dementia Therapeutic and counselling skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Intermediate level computer literacy Desirable: Experience working within Aged Care or with an Elderly clientele Experience with Guardianship issues and complex family situations In conjunction with the essential criteria, you have a strong work ethic and can demonstrate an understanding of the Jewish community and culture.
