Renewable Energy Project Manager/Project Engineer - Octopus Australia — South Yarra, Stonnington Area

Company Description We are looking for a Project Manager/Project Engineer to join the Octopus Australia team in our Melbourne office. The successful applicant will be able to join the Octopus Investments Australia team on their mission to accelerate Australia's transition to a future powered by renewable energy. About Octopus Group Octopus Group is one of the largest owners of renewable energy projects in Europe and Australia. It owns some 260 assets, on behalf of wholesale and institutional investors. Domestically, Octopus Australia is responsible for managing over $1 billion of assets for local and international investors. Octopus Investments Australia Established in 2018, Octopus Australia is a dynamic multi-disciplinary team of over 50 highly skilled people which spans the expertise required to realise and operate a renewable energy and storage portfolio. With an existing multi-GW portfolio of operating and development assets, including solar, wind and grid battery storage across the country. We are continuing to grow to create a long-term business that can deliver a firmed energy product to meet the evolving needs of Australia's energy future. About the Role The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for the delivery of Octopus's projects at all stages of the project lifecycle including origination/investment, development, construction and operation. Our project managers/engineers are expected to: Manage the construction stage delivery of renewable energy projects, managing scope, program, budget and stakeholder engagement to achieve best for project outcomes. Provide engineering support to the wider business including: Providing technical input into due diligence for investment processes. Supporting development and procurement activities. Evaluation of operating plant performance and investigation of issues. Supporting with investor relations. Qualifications We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria: Prior experience in construction project delivery where you gained project management skills and furthered your engineering expertise. The ability to communicate with and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary and diverse team. A self-starter with tenacity, initiative, and a willingness to learn. An engineering degree or equivalent work experience.
