Length of contract: 12 months Contract extensions: 2 x 12 months Security clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline Rates: $110 - $140 per hour (inc. super) We are seeking a talented DevOps engineer with Salesforce and Azure experience to join the Digital Transformation and Delivery Division at Department of Health and Aged Care. You will play a key role in streamlining our software development lifecycle. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated pipelines for Salesforce deployments using Azure DevOps. Duties & Responsibilities: - Design and develop CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce deployments using Azure DevOps tools like Azure pipelines and YAML scripting - Configure and manage Salesforce environments (Sandboxes, Development, Production) through infrastructure as code (IaC) practices. - Implement robust version control practices using Git and conduct thorough code reviews of pull requests. - Collaborate with developers, testers, and operations teams to ensure smooth deployments and efficient workflows. - Troubleshoot issues and maintain a high level of system availability - Stay up to date on the latest DevOps trends and Salesforce functionalities. Desirable skills and experience: - 2 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or related role - Proven experience with Salesforce DX and Salesforce development tools - In-depth knowledge of Azure DevOps services (Azure, Pipelines, Repos, Boards) - Expertise in CI/CD principles and automation scripting (YAML, Bash) - Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts - Experience with Git version control and pull request workflows - Excellent collaboration and communication skills. - Problem solving skills and a passion for continuous improvement - Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure). - Previous experience working for Government Agencies, particularly those that support the health sector. The section is a geographically diverse team, for the right candidate we will be open to discussing flexible working arrangements. A current security clearance is preferable, but this opportunity is open to all Australian Citizens with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
