We now have a rare opportunity to join the team as a Fire Protection Engineer As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following: Liaise with local authorities, including water supply authorities and the fire brigade as well as clients and our team. Using building codes and relevant Australian standards to design, draft and specify wet fire protection services. Design wet fire systems and interface with dry fire system designers Site inspections to review installed hydraulic and fire protection systems. Prepare drawings, calculations and documentation in support of design concepts. As an ideal candidate you will have: A minimum qualification of Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Equivalent with minimum 8 years of industry experience Registered professional engineer to certify class 2/3/9c designs with experience extending into other sectors such as Education, Health and Retail etc. Member of Institute of Engineers Australia or equivalent Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Software (in particular Teams, Excel and Word), Bluebeam and AutoCAD/Revit (or an equivalent drafting program); Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Great client liaison skills and an ability to understand what clients are looking for in an engineering design. Ability to contribute to bid preparation and leading multi-disciplinary projects as project leader. Attend client and marketing events if required. The ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced service environment and work across a national and international team to deliver projects.
