Independent Public School - South Metropolitan Education Region Lakeland Senior High School Teacher - Design and Technology 00004415 Teacher, $78,397 - $113,568 per annum (SEA GA 2021) Advertised Vacancy Number: IPS/TCH895303 This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 3, 2024 Lakeland Senior High School (SHS) is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher - Design and Technology The successful applicant will ideally use explicit teaching strategies and exhibit effective classroom management skills to create a classroom environment that is caring, differentiated and responsive to the needs of each individual student. You should be flexible, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a commitment to professional learning and a high-level of participation in collaborative team planning. The successful applicant will ideally be a reflective teacher with a commitment to continual professional growth to improve their practice. You should also be highly proficient in motivating and maximising the engagement of students, promoting an environment of active and positive learning that enables all students to achieve their highest potential. Ideally, the successful applicant should possess cultural awareness and be focused on delivering programs to individuals and groups, including those students with complex needs and diagnosed disabilities. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position. To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers): Professional knowledge; Professional practice; and Professional engagement.
