The newly opened W Sydney is now casting for an Engineering Coordinator to facilitate the administration duties to support the engineering operations. Reporting to the Director of Engineering and Assistant Director of Engineering, this integral role provides support to the business and presents an amazing opportunity to play a key role in the world's largest W Hotel. The Engineering Coordinator's primary responsibilities is to coordinate with other departments to respond to requests and resolve maintenance issues and to put rooms needing maintenance out of order. Coordinate and schedule with other departments in the event of major system shut down or major repair or improvement. Assist engineering management with workflow distribution. Raise and maintain purchase orders, receive and process invoices for payment, ensuring that orders match packing slips. Assist engineering management with budget control and procurement efficiencies. Assist engineering management with stock take and arrange procurement of key consumables and spares. Prepare and produce monthly reports, financial, training and carry out general administrative duties. Coordinate contractor inductions and maintain records inclusive of relevant insurances. Assist with strata and tenancy service requests, maintain records and associated costs. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and assist with proper storage of flammable materials. Executes against objectives outlined in the Engineering Business Plan and delivers services that meets and exceeds the needs of guests and enable business success. Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations and HIDs (standard operating procedures). To be a successful Engineering Coordinator you will possess strong communication and prioritization skills, exceptional Microsoft and supporting engineering/procurement software systems, a flair for culture, be creative, thinking out of the box constantly, highly organized, and have an exceptional inter-personal skill. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES - Maintains effective procurement and budget control. - Supports and assists coordination of the engineering team day to day operations. - Performs regular stock take of critical parts. - Bench marks supplier's costs and quality of goods. - Supports external contractors and ensures inductions and relevant insurances remain current. - Maintains key logs and control. - Carries out general administration duties. - Drive synergies with key departments and stakeholders. - Supports and innovates energy, water and waste conservation programs.
