Currently, a temporary full-time position is available for a Legal Secretary to join the Property & Commercial team on a short temporary contract, with potential for extension. In this role, the selected candidate will provide crucial support to several lawyers in this close knit team. Key responsibilities will include: File management, encompassing conflict checks, opening new matters, and preparing disclosure statements and costs agreements. Email monitoring and management for fee earners. Document management, including marking up contracts/agreements, converting and amending word documents via PDF, and preparing/formatting letters and documents. Drafting powers of attorney and invoices, with a focus on client correspondence. Conducting property searches, ordering rates certificates, compiling contracts of sale, and preparing notices of dispositions and acquisitions. Filing documents across various courts and handling deeds access, scanning, lodgement, transfers, and releases.
