Seeking a senior mechanical design engineer to lead large data centre design projects in Australia and overseas. Design Lead, Mechanical Location: Melbourne Salary: $180k - $220k super bonus Overview Mission Critical Recruitment are seeking a senior level mechanical design engineer to work directly for a developer of hyperscale data centre facilities. Joining a small team, you'll initially be leading MEP designs for data centres on local projects, but with projects happening throughout South East Asia, you'll support and lead on a wider basis also. As you'll be working for the client, your job will include leading through planning and pre-construction phases, setting design briefs, managing and selecting the consultant, supporting throughout construction through to completion. Key Requirements include: Mechanical Engineering degree holder Chartership or Professional Engineer status in place, or working towards 10 years post university experience with several data centre design projects under your belt Technical leader with turnkey experience of taking greenfield projects from planning and development stage through to completion Passionate about innovation Either consulting or contractor background would be considered This is a unique opportunity to join a cash rich developer who are building large data centre facilities globally.
