About the role: Reporting to our Editorial Content Strategist, you will: Lead the art direction and design for our digital magazine INTHEBLACK Deliver bespoke graphic design services for INTHEBLACK and our other publications Provide creative support for content amplification and acting as a liaison between creative service contractors Working closely with the editorial team, the department and other business units, you will provide creative support for the INTHEBLACK digital magazine and other relevant products aimed at a sophisticated global audience and delivering against CPA Australia’s organisational strategy and business objectives. This role is currently a 6 month contract with the view to extend. Your key duties will include: Design and lay out INTHEBLACK digital magazine articles and features, covers, buttons and other graphic elements in line with brand and style guidelines Source suitable, high quality stock images and illustrations and retouch custom photography and stock images as required Review article layouts at each production stage, ensuring high standard of quality Prepare magazine full issues for several rounds of stakeholder review, in accordance with the flatplan and including supplied advertising artwork Lead the improvement of production processes, including templates, nested styles, filing systems and document review process Ensure adherence to best practice design processes and guidelines, quality assurance documents and other required documentation, such as process guides Proactively engage stakeholders across the organisation to develop effective, collaborative relationships Develop and maintain quality working relationships with external vendors, suppliers and members About you: You will have publication design experience at a senior to mid-senior level and be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite. You will have strong graphic design, drawing and illustration skills and a thorough understanding of typography in digital design as well as digital-first and UX/UI design principles. You pride yourself on your attention to detail, organisational and project management skills and have used digital workflow tools such as Monday.com in the past. You love working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and have a self-starter attitude, with a passion for creating great visual content.
