Our Opportunity To support our ongoing growth, NEPEAN Longwall NSW are currently seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our team. This position is a full-time permanent opportunity, based in our Rutherford NSW workshop. Your duties will include however but not limited to: Create component and assembly models using Autodesk Inventor based on technical specifications. Provide practical design solutions in collaboration with lead engineers, meeting deadlines and adhering to company procedures, regulations, and client standards. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding drafting/engineering solutions and ensure involvement from concept to installation, including interaction with in-house fabrication. Demonstrate commitment to personal safety and safe design practices while assisting mechanical engineers in modelling and detailing mechanical equipment. Assist in preparing assembly drawings and mechanical designs, ensuring accuracy and consistency, while also contributing to innovation and simplification of designs applicable to the industry. The right person Experience within a similar role Industrial/mining industry. Longwall experience highly regarded. Tertiary qualifications Previous experience in 3D Mechanical Design Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D Inventor software. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
