The Position: You will be exposed to a broad range of commercial solutions and learn how smart companies are leveraging technologies and complexity of business IT. Taking support calls, troubleshooting network, equipment and service-related problems all within Windows based environment. There will be a requirement to travel to various Customers sites within the area. There are opportunities for technical development and project related work. WHY JOIN US: You will have the ability to learn a wide range of skills in this fast-paced business from other staff members About the Role Working with the Senior Network and Security Engineer you will play a fundamental role in the implementation of the network, server, storage, desktop, cyber security of our information technology environment. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate their competency for the position by meeting the following essential criteria: Information Technology related degree, relevant technology certification, and/or extensive relevant industry experience. Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a similar role Demonstrated experience in creating and managing a complex IT environment including network, server, storage, and desktop infrastructure. Ability to undertake ongoing planning which may be complex. Previous experience in providing quality customer service with the ability to relay technical information to a range of internal customers. In the Role you will be: Developing, configuring and integrating computer systems by analysing, developing the architecture specification diagrams and data models Planning, designing and deploying LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including servers, routers, hubs, switches and IP phones Performing network coding or scripting Analysing and configuring networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation Troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnosing hardware and software faults and solve technical and applications problems Testing and maintaining the new networks, servers and computers to ensure optimal performance Maintaining configuring, installation, network management, and software support of Cisco products Monitoring network traffic and managing day to day technical incident and problem activities Managing servers, including database, emails, printer, and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software upgrades Developing technical documentation related to network configuration, network mapping and service records
