Our GTS products and services are leveraged across all Business Unit Platforms within the Bank to deliver industry-leading software including: CommBank App, Netbank, CommSee, CommSec, CommBiz and Commbank.com.au. You will be part of AWS Foundational service squad as Senior Systems Engineer with a proven background in AWS and automation skills ideally in the large-scale enterprise environment. You will solve problems, design solutions for migrating services to the cloud and implement the infrastructure components while working closely with product team engineers to ensure that they can operate the implementation once you hand it over to them. You will be an experienced System Engineer with engineering mindset and experience deploying and managing solutions on public cloud services (preferably AWS), a keen interest in customer satisfaction and a thirst to learn as well as share knowledge and solve problems. We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. Key Responsibilities: Developing new tools and AWS cloud services to be integrated across the bank. Develop, Manage and Support System Resources in AWS environment across the bank, ensuring networking and security standards and best practices are maintained. Driving automation through understanding processes and implementing improvements. Presenting your work to peers in your immediate team and to engineers, scientists, and managers across the broader Systems Engineering community Provide support on-call for AWS production environments across the Bank. Building monitoring, fine-tuning alerts and health-check dashboards. We're interested in hearing from people who are essentially have: We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team; Solid Experience working in a build and execution capacity within AWS Cloud Services. Hands-on experience in programming/ scripting languages such as Python, Java, node js, .Net or similar. Advanced troubleshooting and debugging techniques in resolving AWS infrastructure related issues, ensuring high availability and maintaining the integrity of the AWS Cloud environment. Hands-on experience with automating cloud native technologies, deploying applications, and provisioning infrastructure via code. Experience with Networking principles, System Administration, Security Concepts and knowledge of best practices and principles. Experience with source control systems (Git), configuration management and continuous integration technologies like TeamCity, Jenkins, Docker, Github Actions,etc. Knowledgeable in Monitoring and alerting systems (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, PagerDuty) Continuously learning groundbreaking technologies, and developing new technical skills and other professional competencies.
