They are seeking to appoint a Product Manager with automotive accessories / electronics experience to join our team to assist in the sourcing, integration, and management of new products into the automotive sector. As a leading supplier of innovative equipment to a range of large corporates, they have an enviable position within an essential equipment market and can take products through from engineering concept & design to manufacturing. ABOUT THE ROLE Reporting to the Senior Product Development Manager, and working within the product management team, in this hands-on role, you will be engaging with our multiple internal teams to seamlessly incorporate cutting-edge vehicle electronic products across OEM, fleet and transport providers. Your primary focus will be the integration of various electronic components, ensuring optimal functionality and performance. This role will see you working at pace to design integration solutions to enable the fast turnaround of proof of concept’s (POC’s), driving quality improvements and continuously improve products. Other activities will be as follows. Act as a point of contact for internal teams for product integration/specification enquiries and requirements Perform the integration of sourced products, working closely with suppliers to design and develop the hardware and software required for the integration Assist in the readiness for Proof of Concepts, managing communication with internal teams as needed Develop exacting product specifications and requirements in conjunction with relevant internal teams Continuously monitor global markets and competitors to ensure integration techniques are capturing latest technologies and trends Conduct in-vehicle evaluation of electrical systems, installation requirements and integration. Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing suppliers SKILLS & EXPERIENCE To be considered for this position it is critical that you: Are degree qualified with experience in an Engineering or Electronics role, supplying the automotive industry Have a detailed understanding of vehicle electronics systems including CAN, vehicle networking Bring knowledge and experience of in vehicle specific products including AVN’s, cameras, vehicle interfaces, TPMS, wireless charging, audio, radar, wiring harnesses etc. Possess an understanding of product sourcing and integration from design, selection, testing to EOL management, testing, and validating integrated systems to ensuring they meet specifications CULTURE The company supports individuals and encourages personal development and growth for all their employees.
